Ignacio López Alonso is an Advisor at Lagula Arquitectes, bringing a strong background in architectural design, project management, and academia.
He has contributed to large-scale hospitality projects such as the Hotel Golf Caldes de Malavella (2002–2006) and the urban development of Hotel El Paso at Port Aventura (2001–2002). He was co-curator of the exhibition Everyday Life Through Architecture at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and is part of the curatorial team proposed by UPC–ETSAB for Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture.
In academia, he serves as Deputy Director and Coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Architecture (MArq) at UPC–ETSAB and teaches in the Department of Architectural Design. His teaching career has extended to leading international institutions, including Tsinghua University in Beijing, Georgia Tech, the University of East London, and PUC Valparaíso, among others.
He holds a PhD in Architecture (2014), a Diploma of Advanced Studies (2007), and a degree in Architecture from UPC–BarcelonaTech (2001). His professional approach is grounded in architectural excellence, knowledge dissemination, and the promotion of multidisciplinary collaboration.
